Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have celebrity-studded pre-wedding ...

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes enjoyed a pre-wedding dinner with a number of their celebrity friends and family in Rome last night. The couple are thought to be marrying in a small civil ceremony today with a large scale Scientology ceremony at Castello Odescalchi in Bracciano tomorrow. Tom and Katie carried seven month old daughter Suri to the dinner at the Nino restaurant in the city centre, with friends such as Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony, and Jim Carrey with girlfriend Jenny McCarthy. Katie's Armani outfit coordinated with Suri's clothes and Tom's daughter Isabella's dress while Tom himself wore a black Armani suit. Katie's mum and dad, previously rumoured to be boycotting the wedding, were also in attendance. A waiter at the restaurant revealed: "Tom and Katie went from table to table saying hello to everyone.

Katie's Wedding Dress Recreated

Katie Holmes looked like a princess in her Armani wedding gown. Now, ET reveals how you can get her designer look for a fraction of the price! KATIE HOLMES married TOM CRUISE Saturday night in a fairytale wedding in a gown fit for royalty. Holmes walked down the aisle in an off-the-shoulder bridal dress, designed by GIORGIO ARMANI, with a train in ivory silk caddis adorned in VALENCIENNES lace and SWAROVSKI-beaded crystal embroidery, featuring a delicate crinoline frill at the shoulders and a silk soleil border around the hem. The gown was complemented by an ivory tulle, floor-length veil and ivory silk shoes. For soon-to-be brides who are drooling over the dress -- but not the price tag -- ALLEN B. SCHWARTZ is here to make your day! He will be re-creating the Armani gown for ABS Fashions at an affordable price -- and ET was at his studio to get all the design details.

Same-sex marriage foes to hold rally

BOSTON -- Opponents of same-sex marriage will join Gov. Mitt Romney at a Statehouse rally tomorrow to pressure lawmakers to allow the public to vote on a ballot measure banning gay marriage. Romney and gay-marriage foes said they are still outraged that legislators avoided voting on the proposal last week. "Gov. Romney is deeply concerned that our rights and freedoms are in danger. The people have a right to participate in their government and by avoiding the constitutionally required vote on marriage, the Legislature has effectively repealed our constitution," said Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom. Residents collected 170,000 signatures to put a question defining marriage as only between a man and a woman on the 2008 ballot. "We want to keep visibility on this issue," said Kris Mineau, president of the Massachusetts Family Institution.

Celebrity guests arrive for TomKat wedding

ROME - Jim Carrey was the first to land in Rome on Thursday, when he landed at 11 a.m. on his own private jet. Moments later, the Holmes family arrived from Ohio for their little girl's big fat Italian wedding. And one thing is for sure - the tiny town of Bracciano is about to get a whole lot bigger. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony arrived. So did Jada Pinkett Smith and Brooke Shields. Also making the trip was Access Hollywood's Billy Bush and People magazine senior editor Galina Espinoza, who were on the scene to cover all the wedding happenings. "Moments ago we witnessed Ken Paves - hairstylist to Jessica Simpson and Eva Longoria - arrive. He's here to do Katie's hair and perhaps he'll be working overtime," Billy told Galina. "I would imagine he's going to be working on the other female guests because we know that Katie's mom and one of her sisters have arrived, as have her father and her brother," Galina revealed.

Tom Chows Through Pre-Wedding Nerves

In news of another, seemingly happier celebrity couple, it seems that TomKat is going through the usual pre-wedding jitters, and that Tom Cruise is eating his way through the nerves before his upcoming wedding to Katie Holmes.Cruise recently shelled out $10,000 for dinner with his bride-to-be at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, according to In Touch Weekly (via MSNBC), and wasn't particularly concerned about fitting into his wedding suit, if his vast repast was any indication. While his svelte bride "barely touched" her grilled sea bass, Cruise inhaled a porterhouse steak, wasabi mashed potatoes, French fries, onion rings, cheesecake and chocolate-covered strawberries. But Tom isn't the only one with expensive tastes: Katie's perfume of choice for her wedding day is Clive Christian No.

USA. Celebrity introduces new wedding vow renewal ceremony cruises

Celebrities ranging from pop star Celine Dion and husband Rene Angelil to actor Robert DeNiro and wife Grace are among the increasing number of couples choosing to renew their wedding vows in recent years. Celebrity Cruises is keeping pace with the trend by introducing a new vow renewals program, which the line launched in a particularly meaningful way. Dr. Charles Garbarino booked Celebrity's vow renewal package as a surprise for his wife, Lydia, while the couple sailed this season in Alaska on Celebrity's Summit with two other couples, one of whom they met on a cruise during their honeymoon 20 years ago. Garbarino, an Army colonel and pediatrician, has served twice in Operation Iraqi Freedom and is being deployed to the region again in April 2007. "I have always lived my life to its fullest, and never feared death, but if I don't return from my next tour, I wanted something for Lydia - the love of my life and my soul mate - to remember always," said Garbarino.

Date nearing for same-sex marriage vote

BOSTON — Thursday, Nov. 9, seemed like a faraway day back in July, when legislators agreed to postpone a controversial vote on whether to put same-sex marriage on the ballot. But now, with the flip of the calendar page less than a week away, all 200 legislators are scheduled to assemble as a body in the House of Representatives' chamber to call the joint constitutional convention to order. The question is whether legislators will decide to take a definitive stance one way or the other. Since the Supreme Judicial Court legalized same-sex marriage in Massachusetts in 2003, the state has seen many gay and lesbian couples tie the knot while supporters and protesters looked on. Some opponents called for a ballot vote on whether an amendment should be added to the constitution banning same-sex marriage.
